Swing Bridge, Manitoulin Island
One of Little Current's most famous landmarks, this swing bridge links Manitoulin Island to the rest of Ontario. Built in 1913, the bridge originally required eight men to position it. Today, operated by a gasoline engine, the bridge can be moved quickly. It is closed for 15 minutes each hour during the day to allow boats to progress up the channel.
