A Taste of Manitoulin is a festival about the amazing local foods available on Manitoulin Island. It is a 10 day festival, with many different events planned, that will take place across the entire island. There will be an abundance of great food to sample, such as maple syrup, fresh whitfish, wild leeks and fiddleheads, bannik, wild meets, grass fed beef, local and chemical free produce, preserves, honey, rainbow trout, smoked fish, etc. at events that highlight the culture and history of Manitoulin. Some of the events planned - Bluegrass festival, star gazing, food fusion event combining local foods and Anishnabek foods, Aundeck Omni Kanning Pow wow, Farm Tours, Plays and Theatre, Musical Events, Food tastings and cooking classes, medicinal herb walks - the list goes on and on.

Ride Manitoulin is Northern Ontario’s newest and most exciting summer event. Our goal is to show case the amazing landscapes and picturesque communities on our beautiful island and reveal how enjoyable Manitoulin is while traveling by motorcycle. Although we are celebrating motorcycle culture, this event is not only for those who ride, but for all who choose the road less traveled.
Local businesses and organizations will be creating an inviting atmosphere for visitors to experience not only the exciting riding opportunities that Manitoulin has to offer, but also to explore the unique cultural landscape of the area. We will be working with many of the First Nation’s communities, local artists, musicians and not for profit organizations to help me make this an exciting memorable event for everyone.
We will have many different attractions, including a poker run and a show and shine, which will showcase many vintage and exotic models.
Food is always an important segment to any successful event and Ride Manitoulin will be showcasing some of the many interesting culinary experiences available here on our Island. Many First Nations dishes, local fisheries and organic products will be offered.
Music will be a major portion of the event and we have secured numerous talented local groups, as well as some headliners who look to draw visitors from all over Northern Ontario. This should be a great time!
